This5-7-5, Awaiting Liberation, has the right set up and observes that th3 crystal casing has wrapped the slumbering lumber and keeps it on ice until they're sprung.

I really like how you have described spring as a rescue. You have used very detailed language and painted an excellent scene to get lost in! Great job!

We are indeed awaiting liberation. I think that for us, that liberation may not come until April. We've had it a bit mild, but, the cold is on its way. I like this and the descriptive wording you've used. I enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

Yvette,

Of course I try to emulate your short verse style. But, I try to avoid capitalization or punctuation whenever possible, with the exception of the occasional wiggle mark to highlight my attempt at the Satori ending.

Since you chose to capitalize your first word (I consider this a complete thought, with our without a punctuation mark), then why not add a period after the third line? IMHO... my reading of your ending two lines is a complete thought too.

Mark

This is a short, straightforward poem about the changing of the seasons. It is pithy and well written. The picture is a fitting complement. I enjoyed reading this poem.

Well said! We don't have long winters here but we do take note because snow isn't always expected in our winters. Great title and metaphor for the winter-imprisoned world waiting for Spring's new growth.

This is a wonderful poem your words and the artwork took me away from the many fires we have (down under), I love the thoughts and promising feeling it brings, as always an excellently presented work ****kahpot

"Awaiting Liberation", is short, succinct and very much to the point. With well-chosen words, this talented poet has told it as it is. I look forward to seeing your next post

Neat imagery here. "Rescue" is an interesting notion. I think of it more as a release, but rescue makes sense.
Personally I like the snow because I enjoy skiing. But indeed, many feel trapped by winter. Your note, "The fleeting beauty of Winter's prison..." is poetic itself but does not really introduce the idea of the poem. Just something to think about. I dislike having to insert those notes!
