This is a lovely work and I can see why your church family would enjoy you reading of it to them, I appreciate the scripture you use in your notes.

Thank you so very much for your beautiful review of my poem, and for the six stars! It's so good when another believer has an understanding of what I'm expressing. God bless you!

Thank you for sharing your spiritual poem inspired during the Christmas season and by Bible passages. I admired your rhymed couplets in these quatrains and your imagery like the "clay vessel" and "baggage". Here's to hope and best wishes in the Faith Poetry contest as well- Joan

"Lord Jesus, I give You my troublesome strife,"...how difficult this can be even though we are in our darkest hours. Your poem could be any Christians story of wandering aimlessly through life before they found the Lord and all His promises. Well done. You have a priceless gift ...keep on writing.
Be blessed, Jude

Thank you, Jude, for your excellent review and for all you wrote about my poem. It's about the trials I am facing now, as a Christian, but yes, a lot of it could apply to the difficulties we have before we come to know Jesus Christ as our Savior. As it says in Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever."

Bless you for sharing this. I is good to be reminded that we must surrender our very souls to God's will in order to find true grace and redemption. Your AABB rhyme scheme is very effective--reads like a faith filled series of couplets! A smooth read as well--helped by thoughtful punctuation. I sat and reflected and read it more than once!--Karenina

I do like this religious poem. It's well written throughout its rhymed stanzaic structural format and its felt narrative story lined content. The flow is good, too.
A good spiritual work. Thanks for sharing and Blessings from Italy. Tony
