I love everything about this. You've captured the essence of real life. It's filled with hellos and goodbyes that happen unexpectedly as you've so eloquently stated. One thing that's for sure. He's there and has always been there through all of our tears, pain, and suffering. He by His Grace brings comfort and peace in the midst of our pain. I enjoyed reading this inspirational and well written work. Bless you and well done!

I can feel the truth of the true story on my skin and those who cannot mean that they have never felt pain, sorrow and above all dolorous despair as a young mother for her infant's death. We should remember that dolorous suffering illuminates our life and we should be happy because we have survived. Thanks for sharing. A good work.

A truly heartfelt story beautifully expressed. The importance of the story lies in its all-inclusiveness...everyone has suffered this in some way or another and it's a thought well guided to recover and move on. Loved your graphic too.

I think this is a good entry for the True Story contest.
This little piece is well told. I especially like the line: Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes.
Well done and I wish you good luck with the contest.

I could relate to this well-written short piece. We never know how long someone will be around, so the lesson is not to take anyone or any thing for granted.

All so very true. "Hellos and goodbyes" It is a part of life's experience that we must all deal with at one time or another. I believe we must always learn a positive from what happened and look to the future. We can't change what happened, but we can try to find some wisdom in it. Thank you so much for sharing you insight Brenda.

That's so sad. I hope you eventually found someone who stayed. Unfortunately, many people are in our lives for only a short time. I think we do a dis-service to ourselves and to them by not letting them go.

Hello Brenda. This is really an excellent piece considering a the things that happen in life that we can't control but must endure.
Letting go is the most difficult of the things we have to go in life.
You included some different ways we go through the process. It is nicely written.

This is a very powerful true story. You wrote how life is filled with passerby's and passages and how love and faith ties us all together. My Nana used to say the only constant in this world is change. Your story was touching and I read ever word, especially the message at the end again.
Blessings to you, MB
