Hi MO. What an excellent poem for this contest and what a question to ask. I think I would walk away and take my chances. good luck in the contest although I don't think you need it . Cheers A fellow competitor

Thank you for the encouraging comments. Contests make me nervous so I don't vote until the last moment so I won't keep checking the tally.
    Your entry was great.
Thank you for your comments about the question and what you thought. I would walk away, too. If it didn't turn out the way I wanted, I would want to change it.

A great poem for this 20/20 vision prompt. Imagine being given the chance to read your own story! I would be chomping at the bit to read it but I also know that I would want to change things in it; I think I'd be best to walk away.
I really think this is great!!

    Hi Patty,
Yes, an interesting dilemma. I too would walk away. I wouldn't want to read the whole thing, but having a peek at just a page or two would be tempting.
Thank you for the great comments.

Not a chance - I prefer to leave the future to God. I do not wish to see that far ahead. prob. give us all a heart attack. I think we're not meant to see the future - other that knowing that our real home is in heaven.

What a great poem idea! I think I would turn and walk away. If you can't change anything in the book, I believe it is better not to know. This is very well written, wonderful rhyme scheme, and offers a lot of food for thought. Good luck in the contest!

This is a great entry for the contest. It poses an intriguing question. As you point out, we have to take the bitter with the sweet. It made me think of the quote from "Hamlet": "To be or not to be...."

Interesting - wonder how life would unfold if we did know in advance our life events - would it make everything easier or more difficult - good question posed here in these stanzas

Even better than 20/20 vision is hind"sight", I don't know where I'm going, but I know where I've been. Heh, heh. This is a very clever post indeed. I tried to write down 20 "to do" things, and I think I could think of two! That's why I ducked out of this one, well done, good luck, beautifully written, blessings Roy

    Hi Roy,
Thank you for the excellent review and your good luck wishes. I liked your comments about "hindsight." I was surprised that no one had an entry on "hindsight" in this contest.

This is a creative entry for the 2020 vision contest. It is full of whimsy and gives you an interesting question to ponder. Your rhyming pattern is well done. Best of luck. Great job and thank you for sharing.

Hello Author... I most assuredly wouldn't look. As tempting as the choice might be, if you can't change anything, knowing what was coming, knowing if you made a certain choice that it would lead to a bad outcome and yet not being able not to make a different choice. For instance, knowing that if you get into that car drunk, you'll kill that man on the corner, the father of 5 who is the sole support of his family, with a wife that has cancer and is two weeks from death... yet you have no power to change that. It would be a torturous life to have to live. I'd rather not know.
