You've written an excellent poem for the 20/20 poem
With excellent rhymes and a good question
that would probably get a variety of answers.
If you can't change it, some might say why look,
except maybe you could enjoy the time you have a little more
with the knowledge.
No, I would read it, no more than I would at the last page of a novel before reading the book.
Close the book and smile.

Thanks you for your thoughts on the theme and the good luck wishes. Like you, I don't think I'd read the book either.

I realized when I reread my review that I left out the would[n't] which, of course, changes the meaning completely. The sentence actually makes no sense the way I wrote it.

From the context of the rest of the review and figured you meant you would not. Oh, those small words always get us.

No, thank you. I would have no desire whatsoever to read a single page in that book.
But then, I'm the kind where you can put all my (unwrapped!) Christmas presents under a blanket right beside my favorite chair for the whole month of December and I'll never ONCE even be TEMPTED to take a peek. hahaha I like surprises and don't like to mess with them.
This was a nice poem and a good entry for the contest. Good luck!

Thank you so much for the great rating and review. Like you, I can wait. When I was at college, my parents gave me a birthday present to take with me. It drove my roommates nuts that I let it sit there for several weeks and didn't open it. If I had, what would I have opened on my birthday?
