This is a sad poem and the picture shows the devastation of war as well as the words of the poem. I thought this poem was very powerful and to the point. Thank you for sharing.

This is a very well written poem about the shooting down of the passenger jet in Iran. You used very good descriptive words and like you said enough is enough. You used very good imagery from the art work you chose. It is so sad that so many had to die for no reason. Thank you for sharing. Blessings, Teri

I hope they didn't mean it, but I have a hard time believing someone could mistake an airplane for a cruise missile. What happened was awful, and you're right, it's happening too much.

I am even more surprised that they admitted to doing it after such a short amount of time. Thank you for your review comments.

A real tragedy for sure, Nomi. Sometimes saying sorry isn't good enough, and that applies to so much of war. Myself I am going to take the word it was unintentional until the investigation is completed. Accidents happen and even those that just seem so impossibly accidental.

A fine poem and stated with just the right tone.

Thank you for sharing. :)

Hello Nomi. I really like your poem about the plane shot down by Iran. They are a military State. How could they not know what they were doing? Why did they not ground all commercial aircraft since they perceived they had a problem?
It's great that you posted this poem. We agree on this content.

Hey Robert, thank you for a great review. This incident bears much investigation, I am wise enough to not hold my breath while waiting for an explanation I can believe in.

A well-done poem, and a timely message. As soon as we heard, I knew it was shot down. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I wonder have people just crave war and power when it does harm to everyone. God Bless, Laura.

Exactly. Some have no tolerance for those who cross them. Some have no filters or restraints when it comes to a money grab. Others will do almost anything to gain more power. They will all learn one day that it is just striving after wind.

The funny thing is, train travel is far less safe to travel than planes. Perhaps not in Iran, but certainly in general terms Brother. The trouble is the US also has the same system of armament, with buttons to push. The trouble is they shots themselves in the foot this time. Beautifully written, blessings, Roy

As I stated in an earlier response to a review of this poem, I am most shocked that Iran has actually come out and admitted to shooting down the plane. I figured that it would probably be months before we would get an admission of guilt.

This well written and well rhymed verse tells of the recent tragedy of an Iranian plane being shot down but Iranians.
I expect we will never know the truth behind this, the only thing we do know is that lives were lost unneccaritly.
Well said.

As my poem stated weapons of war cause death. They have no conscience, no remorse. They do what they are designed to do, kill. Once you unleash them they cause grief, suffering and death.

A very well-written poem about the 'accidental' shooting down if an airplane with civilians that had nothing to do with the conflict. Powerful weapons in the hands of evil people become dangerous.

You are so right. If you unleash a weapon of war, it is not a warning shot, it almost always results in destruction and death. You do not have the luxury of asking for a do over.
