This is tutu funny - I felt my magic flute withdraw a bit at the Nutcracker pun. Plies keep 'em coming - they're a great way to start off the work day.

Wasn't Carmen married to several others. Her first was Barry I understand but she maintains she was never really married to him only practising. Wasn't he second a Saudi? She keeps talking about her arab-ex. Another charming and romantic tale of varied professional lives.

Now, that's just Rudolf Innuendo, the Russian ballet prancer. Being thrown in Swan Lake would cool his ardour, let alone his magic flute. Tut, now you've got me doing it.

Very, very funny. Well this one was a little different -- I think they were both in the ballet! But there's the challenge. The last sentence had me grinning, starting with the "high-kicking Nutcracker" - very imaginative indeed! I wouldn't want to be the one to get dumped in Swan Lake, though!

There's sme very clever ambiguous humour and some innuendo that spices your very cerebral sense of the dramatic and romantic contrivance in your most imaginative creation LisaMay, well done, blessings, Roy

Beautiful story and read me between the lines to understand the better meaning:'He should be careful - her high-kicking Nutcracker might ruin his Magic Flute, then she'd throw him in Swan Lake." Thank you for sharing this original idea

Yikes. You're right that Leo "tardy" should be careful around Carmen's high kicks. I haven't watched ballet in a long time. I wonder if there are any as good as Baryshnikov now. Fun one using the ballet clothes terms and music well.
