Helen, I got this poem from Sandra Mitchell's book on her page. This is sometimes the only way you find out that people have died. It is always sad when this happens because we all have read or been reviewed by them. I like your mix of poetry and prose. This is a good tribute to her

Oh, I wrote that such a long time ago. I also did a pretend interview with Phyllis for Terry's contest this year. Phyllis was such a dear mentor to many here. I learned a lot from her. Thanks for reviewing it, Joan! Hugs!

I have read countless posts of Phyllis' over the years, from poetry to articles and novels and back again, I'm fast becoming one of the "old Timers" on fanstory, but I haven't yet reached the heights of Phyllis' presence. Hi Helen, like you my sweet friend...Phyllis told me not long ago she was dying...I knew she was sick...but I knew it for awhile...I am glad she is at peace now...no longer suffering...but so heartbroken she is gone...she will be so missed by so many...she was a brilliant writers...and I loved her penguin poems...she made me smile...we may not meet in this lifetime Helen...but we will in the next one...Phyllis is now in FanStory heaven...with a lot of talented company...my prayers are with her family and friends...she is now at peace...I love your poem sweet girl...and your picture so touching...tears...love you...Linda xxoo
