I'm so sorry you are going through this. You're in my thoughts everyday and I pray for you and your family. I can't imagine how you are handling all this, but reading your post gives me an idea of what you've had to deal with. At least you have your faith. That will keep you strong. Your family sounds like they are gathering together to give your dad strength. I believe writing about this is helping you sort out your emotions. May God look over you and your dad.

My son in law's dad is going through a similar situation. A retired pastor himself, short term memory, diabetic and with heart problems. I thought of that song, "islands in the stream", not quite the same theme. I know the prophetic very well, I knew when people would resign, when churches were being closed down, but good things as well. Elaine and I've lost both our parents, friends, a brother. Well acquainted with grief. Loved this, well done, blessing, Roy

Plain and simply put...this is great stuff! I'm sorry for this path of grief you are going through. I found healing through writing poetry and also writing prayers to God.
