What a magical journey, and wonderful adventure you have taken us on in this poem. Whimsical, of childlike wonder, the wonder of fairytales that connect us to our childhood. Lovely romp in childhood dreams. Fantastic read, that children and parents gravitate to.
In magical style and storyteller voice. I do not personally think a six-star is enough here, but here it is anyway, with pleasure.

Outstanding! I absolutely loved reading this one. So clever and creative. It rhymed flawlessly. The tempo was so smooth I didn't stutter once, and I don't read so well. Thank you so much for sharing. Without a doubt this is getting one of my six star votes, and I'm pretty stingy with em.
Happy writing,
Larry

Melissa you are on a roll! This walk into fairy tales, children will love it. Not to mention us adults. This is a very good poem. How long does it take you to write? Thank you very much for sharing your talent in writing. :)

"Journey's", is an exceptionally well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. To me, this is a six, but I've run out of them. I look forward to seeing your next post.

When I was a kid my mom very much believed in giving us books. We had a set of Disney books, about 5 thick books full of stories and beautiful illustrations. Wish I had them today, they would be priceless. Well done as always. You captured what it feels like to be read to or read as a child. Rox

A cute, rollicking poem that reminds this reader of great stories and takes me back to familiar haunts, haha. I love the illustration.
I believe reading is one of life's simple pleasures.

Hello Melissa, this is a lovely poem in good aabb rhyme and fine meter. Everything you say in this poem, the references to various books, is well done. Lovely ending - 'each story leads their searching minds on journeys ~ the most wondrous kind.' The importance of reading and the pleasures gained. Well done - regards Dorothy x

Beautifully worded. You describe some of the childhood reading favorites. Among mine were "Little Women," "Pollyanna," and the Nancy Drew mysteries. You wonderfully describe the enchantment that can be found in a book. Each book is the start of a great journey. True for the old as well as the young. Excellent flow and rhyme. judi
