Yes, it's a scheme that the devil himself could invent. (And he would also be the same one making the diet-conscious girl cry over eating too many cookies.)
It brings to mind the month or two leading up to my wedding. T-Mobile was my cellphone carrier, and I THOUGHT I had free evenings and weekends. NOPE, I found out when the bills arrived, and by the time I got around to going through my piled up mail, I owed something like $2,500. Now THAT could make a girl cry! I didn't pay it all, and I hope your girl didn't pay "Bub" any of it either, lol.

This is certainly humor, but more a narrative poem than a story. The introduction of Beelzebub foreshadows the surprise ending. I think you could do without the last line.
