Excellent. Sounds like those readings people seek out on the phone. The idea is to keep them on the line so the $ add up. Very good writing. I like instantly cured--I guess those phone calls DO work. LOL! Marilyn

The devil is in the fine print. I love to poke fun at my own human weaknesses. Cookies, quick fixes, (calling a number for a beauty product offered) and not paying attention to cost, does it to me all the time. I'm glad you enjoyed my satire.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo

LOL! I agree. Usually on an impulse, if something looks good, we're on the phone ordering it. I've done it, too.

This was a funny story. Somehow, I didn't expect that kind of ending.
It was a good twist. Even the counselor's name has humor to it.
We all know about cookie consumption.

Thank you for your excellent review and post-Christmas cookie honesty. I love to poke fun at my own weakness. It starts the new year off right.
Sending you my best today as always and blessings for the new year,

Gasp! $6,000? I can't imagine someone spending that kind of money on a phone call counselor. A real one would be better and then one would definitely avoid the ones called Beelzebub! Great job and wish you success in the contest!

The devil is in the details, and He is always expensive. I'm glad you enjoyed my satire and contest entry.

Yep, Sis, Well done. No spags. I hope a few more learn about all the names of the Devil. Angel of Light, Prince of Darkness, Arch Deceiver and many more. The pic was a give away as well. Love you.

PS~ Sending this with my morning prayers for protection from the flames and for healing, strength and peace. Psalm 91 for you both today.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence." Amen!

Psalm 91 was a favourite of my dear MUm for years. Lord Bless.

-Great artwork
for your story, Sally.
-A good topic and
the story is written well.
-The hook is very good
as the person decides
she better call the Crisis Center.
-She hears the comforting
voice of Beelzebub, and her
anxiety lessens.
-Great twist at the end.
-I think I would go back
to the cookies, though=
they're cheaper!
-Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much for the play-by-play review, my FanStory flower. I always enjoy reading them, dear Pam. You are a breath of fresh air, blowing upon me from the sea of reviewers. Recently, some very new and sadly lacking in your skilled art of reviewing have appeared, I'm afraid. I'm running out of mute space and it's only Janiary! I appreciate you more than ever! I will be nominating you once again and into perpetuity.
Stay close to me, dear Pam.
Sending you my best today as always and blessings for the new,
Sally xoxo

I really appreciate your reply, Sally,
and I like my new nickname, too! I am sorry to hear about some reviews have been upsetting. My best is sent back to you, too!

Ha! Yes, the shock of learning the cost per minute after the fact would cure many "conditions" suffered by callers; and "Bub" knows no one will call that number again to dispute the charge. Well done.

Just love your entry in this 75 word flash fiction writing contest Sally. Oh yes indeed, I think a $6000 bill for your consultation With Beelzebub, would certainly go a long way to curing your tempting little habit. An excellent entry Sally, very hilarious and clever, well done, good luck my friend, blessings, Roy
