Some may be able to laugh at themselves in identifying with the speaker especially at this time of year. Someone gave me a tin of cookies. I'm very aware of what my long history of short-lived gifts of cookies or fudge. I decided I would turn over a new leaf, not to be confused with my maple leaf cookies. I am taking 2 days off from my 2-3 cookie (tiny lol) a day pattern. Whaaat??? No cookies? Yes no cookies for 2 days. we are only beginning the 2nd layer. Thank you for this fun poem.
