This is a great entry for the 75 word flash fiction contest. I would be cured after that huge phone bill too. Very well written and creative story. Great job and thank you for sharing.

Dang! What's that number so I don't mistakenly call it! I loved you used the demon Beelzabub as it fits into such a demonic tale of robbery! I just love the way your mind thinks!
Thanks for the chuckle! xoxo

I bet this person was cured after hearing a price tag like that. This made me think of kids who don't know 900 numbers charge you and get bitten by the bill later. Ouch!

Yuh, that would cure me too...lol I like your tongue-in-cheek humor. Hopefully, the reader will enjoy your allusion or some may sense itr is one and will be compelled to research the name. Some may be able to laugh at themselves in identifying with the speaker especially at this time of year. Someone gave me a tin of cookies. I'm very aware of what my long history of short-lived gifts of cookies or fudge. I decided I would turn over a new leaf, not to be confused with my maple leaf cookies. I am taking 2 days off from my 2-3 cookie (tiny lol) a day pattern. Whaaat??? No cookies? Yes no cookies for 2 days. we are only beginning the 2nd layer. Thank you for this fun poem.

You are most welcome for this lark of a flash fiction. I must poke fun at myself from time to time. I think cookies tempt me more than anything, that and chocolate. I'm so pleased you had a good {little} laugh. Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo

Shocking that Satan would man a crisis line!
I like "sponging away my anxiety"--great image.
At least the cookie binge was not nearly as bad a sin as the con game!

I cannot lie when I say this made me laugh. The artwork fits exceptionally with the story and when I see it I definitely think of Beelzebub. There is nothing I would change and I will be looking at more of your work. Good luck on the contest!
