So well written. Left me in tears. Very believable characters. Great stamina on both characters parts. Just goes to show you that true love goes the last mile and conquers all.

Thank you very much for the wonderful review, shower of stars, and kind compliments. I have four in the series all together and I'm glad you caught at least two of them so far. I am compiling all my love letter series into a book later this year. These are my husband's favorites. I am fanning you today so I don't miss your work. Sending my best today as always, Sally xo

Ok, pass the Kleenex, Sally. What a wonderful, though, poignant story of war and love and loss and a new beginning. You wrote it so well. I enjoyed reading it to find out how you were going to conclude this story. Your conclusion is one that many will identify with. It seems the war to end all wars is still going on. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully with Love and Admiration, Jan

I am so behind. P.ease forgive me? I appreciate you taking the time to review these stores and leave such a wonderful review. I'm on a writing retreat trying to finish my novella. I appreciate you so much.

Ohhhhhhhhhh! I am speechless! What a glorious work of written art! No dry eyes here! I'm sure many wars yielded such situations of intense love and grief. I don't know how you are able to compose such pain-filled pieces and actually get them into words! Perfection as always! xoxo

Thank you so much, sweet Diana. This wonderful review and six stars mean the world to me. I hope to publish these stories as well. A needed thing for me and others in a world lacking true love.
Sending you my best today, and many thanks once again,

Out of sixes. Yes, I am sobbing on a VERY early Sat. morning, my sneak time onto the site. THIS is phenomenal. PHENOMENAL. Did I shout that loud enough? Oh Sally, you had better be getting something published or shall I say (something(s). I am in awe of your ability, especially with the long stuff. You are a notch above. I hope you are sending some of this out to publishers. I know that rejection may occur, but KEEP sending it. Anyone with a heart that takes the time to read your work, would have to see the beauty in it. Get busy girl! You are meant for more than FanSTory, although we do so love it, right?

Probably out of sixes because I am loaded up! I accept all virtual sixes and sweet compliments. You are like liquid sunshine on a dismal day, dear Wemday. Thank you again for loving to read me.
Sending you my best today as always,
    Sally xoxo

-This is so deserving of a sixth star, Sally.
-Emotion flows off of the page.
-I like how you are using the letter theme in this series.
-I also like how you use a line from it later
in the story, as Eleanor recalls Reggie's letter.
-The description of what Reggie went through
to get the letter to her was done very well, but was sad.
-Eleanor is a very astute woman, and puts her
plan in action after realizing she needed to find him.
-She went to great lengths, but her searching paid off.
-The idea of sharing muffins with the soldiers was very good,
and was a way to break the ice when she learned about Gerry.
-The scene between them is written very well, and is heartbreaking
when she goes out the door, but waits, and then hears his cries.
-The ending is bittersweet; they didn't have a lot of
time with one another, but she will have a life with their son.
-Well done!

What a wonderfully well told story. It had everything a great story needs, love, commitment, tragedy and an ending that delivered every reader's desire. And on top of all that, it could well have been factual.

Sally it seems that you found a closet full of old love letters. In the nineteenth hundreds people were more truthful, more caring then they are today. I love this story. I wish people were more loving. Thank you for writing to my heart.

A very sweet thought is, that they both were looking at the same moon to exchange the kisses. I'm sure this is a common situation after wars. This is a very life-like poignant tribute to all who have given their lives or parts of their bo0dy, minds or souls. It becomes a political statement about the cost of war and invites the reader to contemplate who the winners are and who benefits from war. Well written.
