Partings are a sad time in life, especially when it involves a loved one or close friend. This is a six word poem with a lot of feeling that I think will do well in the contest. Best wishes!

This is definitely 6 words. Four words ending in 'ing' to give it an active sense. I caught 'w' alliteration with 'watching, waving.' I think I would change the punctuation after 'sadly' to a long dash. Otherwise the last line becomes a fragment.

I love the cadence and rhythmicity of your poem, all the verbs you used to emphasize the idea of the poem and are powerful moving elements - standing, watching, weaving leaving. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Thank you for sharing this six-word poem. I really love your theme and the accompanying photograph. I wrote a poem with a 19th century railroad theme as well. Good luck with your contest entry!

What an excellent use of the six word limit, and how unusual and interesting that four of the six words are verbs. You've packed a lot of emotion into those six words, and the picture adds to the forlorn mood. The picture's being in black and white enhances the sad and lonely feeling. This is very well done. Good luck in the contest.

six word good bye
Hello, lauralumummu,
......Sad Farewell..... is a fine entry for the six words poem contest. I have a recommendation to smoothout the flow of your poem.
Standing, watching, (stand, watch)
waving sadly. (sadly wave)
train leaving. (train leaves)
it's something we do with haiku and it works well to give the reader a clear picture of the event.

I love the artwork you choose to go with your poem And those trains were something in their day
Yes people coming and going back home it was a fun visit but now sadly they must say goodbye. I like the poem it was short and sweet and on point.
Thank you for sharing.
