Well I thank you for sharing that information I did not know what DTS stood for until you expressed it in your author's notes I thank you for sharing and so with what has been said I gather that the bartender could write a book from all of the people that he's seen with this condition. Thank you for sharing. The rhythm of this writing met the requirements and it was informative.

Thanks Mary for your review and stars. I appreciate your remarks about my author?s note. Maybe you can run with the poem idea of the bartender writing a book. That?s a bit long for me; my style is typically 5-7-5.

This is an excellent Etheree, with vivid imagery, and an attractive presentation!
Maybe I'm getting slow, but I can't figure out what ghosts have to do with the poem, even if they were the bartender's idea. ??

Don,
Only ghosts now inhabit this bar. (-; The walls likely know the secrets of those bar patrons and know who had the shakes too. Pleased you enjoyed my imagery and presentation. It is my first attempt at this (longer) poem style.

No wonder I didn't get it. (I'm not a ghost yet.)
Comment from Bill Schott
This etheree, Ghosts Don't Get the DTs, has the proper formatting and imagines the romantic aspects of the goings on in the bygone era without the actual reality of alcoholic realities.

-Good artwork and presentation.
-A well written etheree with
a good syllable count, topic,
and imagery that tells a story.
-I like the old time feel of
it with the "swinging saloon door."
-You create a vivid word picture
of what must have taken place here.
-Even the ghosts remember!
-A clever entry; good luck!
-I enjoyed your poem.

Pam,
Pleased you liked my first attempt at the Etheree poem format. It is way beyond my typical short verse style. Thanks for your good wishes.
