Well, gal, this is knee-slapin good. You see, I really got into the story theme, haha. Great characterization here and the dialogue was fun and moved this along nicely. Loved the ending - really whimsical. Hugs, Lou

Hi Crystie. A fun script. It's easy to see that the language barrier can confuse everyone with mispronunciations for an amusing story. I don't think I'd make out any better if I were learning a new one. Marilyn

Hi there!
I liked the character of Swen Dee.
I really felt like you understand what it means to write in a way that holds readers attention.
You write with depth.
I couldn't find any grammatical errors.
Nice work!

LOL!! Oh, this is just a lovely addition to your John and Shorty adventures, Crystie -- great job!! ;) And I'm certainly loving the fact that the 'painted props' get 'roped and dragged' .... just adds so much more levity to your write here!! ;) :) You should keep these in a collection to themselves -- great job and thanx so much for sharing! ;) Yvette

Hi Chrystie, yes , I like this script, and I think it tells a great story. Now, I'm Danish, but the Scandinavian names are almost the same in the three countries. I think I would have stayed with Sven as it is also how it would be pronounced both in English and Swedish. I liked your story. All the best. Ulla:)))

This is a fun story to read, the characters are rich and colorful, and the setting is well explained. The Swedish character is delightful. The obsession with popcorn makes me smile. This is a very well written script, and I would love to see it develop, if it is going to. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for reviewing. I am doing some little short scripts with these characters as a sort of prequel series to a longer script I wrote back in 2006 as a full-fledged musical melodrama/comedy. The long one is set in northern Utah and ends up with the characters finding someone to marry. I am trying to decide if the longer script can be posted here scene by scene without the music or not.

I don?t see why not, but I can?t say I know a lot about those things.

Hey, I would pay $6.91 to see CC999's western. How did John Ford and Sam Peckinpah manage to miss this script? One groan: "UDDER business?" That pun is so bad that at first, I thought that maybe CC had stolen it from me! Also, the Swedish-American Anti-Defamation League will probably sue our author for her rendition of Swedish-accented English: Uff da! Anyway, five horseshoes for a real hoot of a screenplay. Yeehaw!

Thank you so much for your kind review. I have a lot of fun with puns. I have other western scripts sitting around but am not sure what to do with them yet.

You really know how to "milk" a bad joke! Later.

I wonder if Shorty will get his popcorn with butter. Will he want it when he discovers where butter comes from? And is he smart enough to milk a cow? Can John and Sven explain it to him? LOL

Thank you so much for reviewing. There's the comic relief going full blast here :) City slickers, ha. (Although I have never milked a cow, either.)

This is a very cute script offering readers a sense of humor and several delightful plays on words. Love the 'Pilgrim' reference, as well. It feels like you are very familiar with the Swedish heritage.

Well....research paid off then. I have one Swedish woven straw ornament on the Christmas tree, a jokebook with Swedish jokes in one section, and a Swedish great-great-grandmother who is deceased. The Internet helped, too. Thanks for reviewing!

This is enjoyable to read and I bet it would be even more fun to perform or watch it. Your characters are humorous and your play on words is enchanting.
