I thought this was so well thought out and cleverly presented, and made much sense. Because of that I wanted to give it six stars, but found I'd used them all. So sorry. I do have one question about this sentence: "Enter Satan, on a short lease, restrained by God from fully expressing his hatred for God and His people." Did you perhaps mean Satan was on a short leash? Otherwise, you will have to explain to me what a short lease is. Anyway, I loved reading this and found it sensible and spiritually sound. Thanks for the treat. MM

Well said.

Your premises are well thought out adn easily understood by a Bible people.

I suspect, in simpler terms, Friday might have even understood the 'need' for Satan in order to resurrect God's people.

This is an absolutely wonderful read. It hit me and hit me hard. I believe fully in God and try to follow His way. We all know it is difficult at times, and difficult to explain to others why bad things happen if there is a God. But they do. God helps us through them. I love the way you wrote this and I have no criticism whatsoever, constructive or otherwise. Beautiful piece of work. Thank you for sharing.

Yes the eagle is a symbol of deity.
This was a lovely post to read.
I loved the symbolic message engraved throughout. This idea of purity rings a bell.
Nicely written

Thank you for your Scripture-based reasons for why the Lord allows evil in the world. I like that you stared with the Robinson Crusoe story.
You had two incorrect spellings of the last name:
"fictional castaway, Robinson Caruso" (Crusoe)
"the educated Carouso " (Crusoe)

I really enjoyed reading this. Your explanation is very sound, and I can understand more why God would let Satan live. I also enjoyed your bringing Robinson Crusoe's man Friday into the story, I was an avid fan of that series when I was a child. That innocent question was one that many have asked over the centuries, your answer gives give us more insight into God's reasoning. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

Thank you for sharing this with us. I think we all get frustrated with the enemy and his evil ways and wish God will get rid of him. I can understand a bit better now. May God bless you! I hope you have a blessed Christmas! Teri

Deniz22 has given us what theologians term a theodicy: a scholarly argument that vindicates the actions -- or, in this case, non-actions -- of the Almighty. As far as I can determine, our author's exegesis and hermeneutics are sound. His introductory references to Friday in Robinson Caruso serve as an introduction to, and framework for, the ensuing theological deliberations. No problem for this reader; however, the feminist and Marxist critics would howl in protest. The elite "intelligentsia" (ha!) of left-wing Academia would excoriate Deniz22 for his use of an oppressed (by a white imperialist) minority as the mouthpiece for his (Mr. D's) argument. In addition, they would denigrate R. Caruso, and perhaps even Friday, for their Christian faith. In any case, kudos is in order here: Five seashells for Deniz22.

Interesting review! Thank you for taking time to make it memorable!
I would think Caruso saving Friday from cannibals might make him a sympathetic character to most readers.
However, the leftist intelligentsia is not noted for sympathy for any heroes and view points other than their own. :)

    To D22:

Having spent time in Academia, at the university- level, I know full-well how narrow these people. Outside the hothouse-environment of the campus, these delicate blossoms could not survive.

We have so many lessons to learn, don't we? I take comfort in knowing that God knows what the plan is, because I think I might be like the eaglets and need a few sharp things to get me moving.
I love how you led into your essay with the Robinson Caruso story and Friday's question. It set the tone for what you had to say. Well done.

A very well-written explanation why God did not destroyed Satan yet. He promised us the eternal life, but he didn't promise we won't have obstacles and problems to get there.

Typo - only one place spelled differently, I don't know which spelling is correct.
