I love the mental picture you created with your words..each line describes an action and all three actions /lines bring to life a joyful scene.
Love the fantasy art which adds to the overall magical setting.
Playful, somber, lofty are great adjectives to set the mood of each character : the stream, the trees and the leaves.

haha I don't think nature is having a giggle at us, more like selecting a switch to whip us for our blatant disregard for her wondrous beauty. I do find nature whimsical. Thanks for the review, cheers

This is really good. I like the message and imagery. I wish these contests were picture free because this does paint one in the mind. Though I do like the image you chose fitting the words. Quite fascinating good luck in the contest.

Your well selected words flow nicely as a sentence. The syllable count is correct to the five-seven-five format in this well written nature theme.
