hahahaha I liked your PRECIOUS contest entry on snow angels which are created ONLY after we're provided with millions upon MILLIONS of SNOWFLAKES! Can you even imagine there would have to be??? Wow. Crazy...

I really like that description in your first line -- 'silly little lace drop' -- it's nice and breezy and simple - something a small child could understand, but really deep, too.

The words of your poem are quite adorable. As I was reading it, I thought it could be the kind of poem a child would read over and over, and perhaps want to memorize. I even took it to the next step -- thinking it --maybe?--sounded (mostly) like it would be great for a jump rope chant - you know? My point is, I really, really think this poem would resonate with young children.

If you have someone who teaches preschool through -- what? -- maybe third grade? -- I would consider showing this to them. Especially if you live somewhere that actually GETS enough snow that they could relate to the words. Oh wait - I see now that you're in Canada - you guys DEFINITELY do the snow - don't you??? hahaha

So - to sum up:
I think you've done a super job. I don't know how you'll do in the contest. A.) This is SO simple and innocent - it may not get the immediate attention IIIIIIIII think it deserves. ALSO:
B.) Unfortunately, it's almost a horrible thing that I do like it. It seems to practically be the kiss of death for a post. The CEC and I NEVER EVER EVER agree on ANYTHING. If I like it, they will hate it, for sure. So - I'm sorry????? *smile*

But I wish you lots and lots of luck.

[BTW, if you don't mind, when you get time, would you mind telling me how you promoted this piece? Exactly what you put on it?]
