Hi Dawn,
sorry for short review, trying to catch up.
Certain times in our lives things happen that makes us ask, where did the time go? This is one of those moments. Mum has only been gone a few hours but already I would give anything for a little more time with her.
Great poem.

Dear Dawn,
The clock ticks on and time is gone
Though Einstein says its still around
That past and future all is one
I guess, just waiting to be found
By poets.
Just getting all philosophical, inspired by the points you raise in this pithy little poem.
Best regards
Reg

Indeed--we were just celebrating Halloween, and now it's almost Christmas! I enjoyed your rhymes and creative phrases like "Twice young" and "twilight's tick". Big smiles and best wishes in the Minute contest- Joan

Ooooo... I like this one, Dawn, as it has an almost ethereal or other-worldly feel about it.... 'memory's haze' and 'dreams' and even 'twilight's trick'... a great motif you lead your reader through!! ;) :) Best of luck to you, O Lady of the North! ;) Yvette

Thank you! I rather like it myself, and it's wonderfully rewarding when another poet 'gets' what you hoped to infuse, especially when that poet is as talented as you are, dear Yvette. *smile*

Yes, Dawn, where does life go? It seems too pass without us noticing and then suddenly we stop and realise that we are in our sixties. And for every year after that life seems to pass even faster. It's unfair! Ulla:)))

Where does it go? I wonder, too. One minute, we're young and in a blink of an eye, years flew by.
Good entry for the contest. Lovely presentation. Good luck.

Comment from Gloria ....
A most cool minute poem, Dawn. I must admit to being very taken with the colours and artwork. I feel like I have been alive forever though.
An excellent piece with wistful and nostalgic insight.
Best of luck to you with the Committee. :)

Nice poem, I enjoyed reading it. It flows well and has a good feel to it. I particularly enjoyed the imagery you used and the ending works well. Thanks for sharing this and have yourself a really great day.

This is more of a philosophical kind of minute poem, which is a little more of a challenge to read. I think it has intriguing ideas, such as dreaming of boyhood to become twice young, in a direct challenge to time, which does indeed seem to take everything we love away from us. The idea of something outside of ourselves, in memory's haze, should turn into something bigger than an otherworldly twilight, but the poem is a minute and not an hour for thought. Nice post!
