So true, the sheer inner flow and gentle warmth and comfort
of a truly tender and loving 'touch' cannot ever compare or
compete with the too sudden, swift and overly compelling
force and demands of utter passion or lust. So many
fall for the false notion that fire and passion are always
the 'in' or main thing that lasts or is necessary, and likewise
more often disappointed when passion and desire wears off!
Thanks for sharing a very vital factor on human touch!

I have been at work (doing a marathon stint) since Friday morning, and will not get off work until tomorrow might (Monday night) Your beautiful poem made me think of my long-suffering husband, whose tender touch does indeed soothe me towards my tranquil place. He will often offer to rub my feet or my back or brush my hair when I've had a rough day at work, or perhaps am just feeling my age!
Thank you for giving me the chance to reflect on your words.
