What a tongue twister. It reminds me I have to speak very slowly and very distinctly whenever I talk about my brothers' cats which shed, or 'sheddy' and 'shedding' come out sounding like another word entirely. If this story stops slipping in slick, slippery sound-alikes, would the reader be satisfied at not becoming a spectacle when sounding it out, aloud? Nice job! The only thing I would change is this line:
"Really madam, I need to think where I put them."
I would say: "Really, Madam, I need to think where I put them." Or, because I come from a more casual state in the U.S., I would say:
"Really, ma'am, I need to think where I put them."

The Wrong Shop brought back feelings I would get reading funny limericks as a child. The rhyme scheme is great and made me feel as if I was reading a Dr. Seuss book. It is very well done. It wasn't overly simple for being self explanatory and brought effortless joy.

I have never seen such a tongue twister. I have to ask though, what is a "shot sock?" I don't believe any of our shops carry shot socks. I've never seen them. Perhaps the right shop is in Australia.

Debbie, you are really getting technical! Woven silk has coloured threads, shot through with with the way they are woven. Way back when men wore silk, not fashionable nowadays. Thanks for reading my friend. Love, Kace XX
