-Nice image and
presentation, Jesse.
-I like the style of
your poem, the images,
and rhyme.
-I like how you welcome
people to do something
soothing, like listening
to the ocean, and then
give the positive effects of that.
-The concluding lines
are very good, too.

What great advice you give us in this wise and soothing poem. You're right that many (including myself) tend to bury themselves in activity when dealing with internal strife. But it's important to connect with Nature and release in order to heal.

A very well-written heartfelt and thought-provoking poem. Sometimes we are keeping ourselves busy with all kinds of things so that we don't have time to think about things that hurt or feel any pain.

"Busy Being Busy", is a well-written and deftly descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING. To me, this is a six, but I've run out of them again.

The soothing picture of the stream is a great accompaniment for the theme of the verse:)
I love to listen to and watch the ocean waves -- the ocean is my go-to for a soothing way to get perspective and regain serenity.
Keep writing:)

I enjoyed your thoughtful, well-written poem, Jesse. Your lines flow smoothly with great rhymes and imagery. I could 'see' all the 'things' you mentioned. You are right. So many are focused on getting and staying ahead day after day. They become so stressed and miss the soothing feelings nature has to offer. As the saying goes, 'stop and smell the roses.' But so many make excuses of why they have to act as they do despite the problems. They could, and should, stop to distress--and being in nature is one of the best ways to do that. Time getting ahead can never be regained But time spent taking in nature will give one a feeling that all is well for just a while. S/he will be refreshed and be able to move ahead in a better frame of mind. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

Thank you, Jan, for your attention to the idea that you could 'see' the examples I mentioned in this poem. I am happy you enjoyed it. I like your analysis of the way folks make excuses why they stay busy, and that in nature we can unload our troubles for a while. Thank you for this in-depth review and for the excellent rating.

There's nothing like a stroll in the beauty of restful nature to ease the burdens and the pressure of the surroundings that plunder our peaceful existence. A beautifully written ode the modern man. In articulate verse, and ababcdcdefefgh rhyming well done my friend, blessings, Roy
