Hello Joan.
I am glad you enjoyed this. Thank you for noticing the rhymes and repeats of certain words for emphasis. Especially this time of year, many folks are so busy they forget to breathe. I appreciate that you found this thought-provoking. Thanks for the excellent review and rating.
Take care, Jesse

Taking the time to relax is something we all need to master, be in strolling alone the shore by the ocean or meandering through the hills and dales. Busy is good but not if the cost is no Chillaxing time : )) Nice!

Thank you, Hitch, for the positive review about mastering relaxing time. I like your term, "Chillaxing time". We most definitely need to find time to 'chill'. I am glad you liked this poem. Have a great week.

Yes, stop and smell the roses. There's a saying that time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time. By modern day standards, if we aren't busy DOING something every second, then we are wasting time. I don't believe that.

Thank you, Susan. I like the saying "time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time". Thank you for these insights into the notions people have to have to be doing something all the time. I don't believe that, either. I felt this post was especially appropriate during the holidays. People rushing around with the idea that there will be time later to relax. Yet, for some, the relaxing time never happens. They stress themselves out and can't sleep, etc. To me, there is always time to commune with nature. I appreciate your insightful review and the excellent rating very much.
Take care, Jesse

I like this. Especially at this time of the year when the hustle and bustle seems to gobble up more and more of what might have been quiet time. You remind us that taking time to commune with nature and centering one's self can be healing indeed! Love the photo chosen as well.--Karenina

Thanks, Karenina. You're right, I thought this might go over well during the holiday rushing around, everybody seems to do. The inspiration was my brother. He is known for being busy just to avoid being with himself. And, I love nature's healing powers. I'm glad you like the photo I chose. Thanks for the insightful review and for the excellent rating.
Take care, Jesse

This is so true- we are all so busy living life we don't actually enjoy it anymore. Take a few minutes to just breathe, look at the waves on the seashore, smell the pine cones. Live again. Thanks for the reminder.

You're welcome, June. Thank you for your marvelous analysis on being so busy that we don't enjoy it anymore. I agree. You saw the conclusion of being too busy, and I appreciate that. I like your example of "smell the pine cones". A creative and new way of saying 'smell the roses'. Thank you for this insightful review and for the excellent rating. Have a good Sunday.
Take care, Jesse

Good advice - there is so much in nature that is calming and beautiful. People are just too preoccupied with work and especially social media. I just hope their kiddies will learn how to enjoy nature. Hugs, Lou

Thank you, Lou, for your insightful 'take' on the message in this poem. I, too, hope that the children growing up in today's world, still find time to enjoy outdoors, and nature at its best. I am happy you saw it as good advice. I think it always has been, but now, more than ever, we need to take time to listen and breathe in nature. Thank you for this enlightened review and for the excellent rating.
Take care, Jesse

Your excellent poem is right on. Too many people don't take the time out
to smell the flowers, or as your poem stated breathing in fresh air or
listen to the ocean.

God gave us the natural tools to be in a calm state. Drugs are a temporary fix, but nature is an antidote to many stresses of our lives, yet many people can't find the time to use its power. Jesse, a very nice progressive thinking poem. By itself it invokes the sense of calm. I like the use of nature to be busy being healthy busy!
Hugs, Trisha

Hi Trisha.
Thank you for your kind words about my poem invoking a sense of calm and being progressive. I agree, nature can ease the stresses of every day life. I am fortunate to live near Sequoia trees and enjoy nature walks nearly everyday. Thanks for the insightful and positive review.

Thanks for the healing poem and the scenic view today. I'm home sick with the flu and this cheered me so. Life must be balanced in the ways of God; to appreciate the beauty and quiet He affords.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally :)

Yes, I get it and it's very meaningful. Too busy being busy is a rut you don't want to be in. The poem portrays the message nicely and flows well. If you understand the notion
Precious time you can't retrieve.
It is outstanding, along with the art.
