Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

The colour white brings to mind something pure ..and something that is pure has a positive, relaxing effect on our being.

Being emerged in a world of snow is definitely a very magical, even heavenly experience that calms.

I don't usually look at the format required ..for once I did and I think you did a great job in writing something meaningful but at the same time with the two rhymes needed in each 6 syllable sentences.

It's quite a demanding format..well done.

PS. I was wondering if you were not well but then I read your Holiday entry below.

I hope you had a lovely Thanks Giving Day even though my heart goes out to the turkey.

Hello Franca. I am doing fine and we have just finished seeing all of the guests off... several spent the week here. I really appreciate your comments and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you.

Awe, Melissa, this is lovely and you show so many emotions in just two lines. Not an easy thing to achieve. I loved your poem and I wish you all the best in the contest. Ulla:)))

Sometimes I feel this in light rain after a long dry spell. I like the snow more after it falls than while it is falling. An unmarred snowy yard is so
serene and evergreen trees covered in snow are beautiful.
Good luck and keep writing
Joan

What a lovely two line poem. It is sometimes so hard to express what you want to say when you have the limited words or the limited syllables. You've done a beautiful job of this and I absolutely love the picture you chose. So many people complain about winter and although it can be daunting at times, I love it. Beautiful work.

Well done, we don't have the benefit of ever knowing what a snowflake quite feels like, (although we've been to NY at Christmas time) I think you're missing the internal rhyme, suggestion. "As snowflakes kiss my skin,
I feel joy's bliss within." Good luck Melissa, blessings Roy

Hi Roy... thanks so much. I thought that snowflakes and breaks provide that internal rhyme... don?t they?

I enjoyed your rhyme and even a bit of alliteration in your Two-Line Poem. Your picture selection is just right! Thank you for sharing the snow, since we don't get any in Southern California. Best wishes in the competition- Joan

You're right, a snowflake touching your cheek does have an odd, yet calming effect. Maybe it's the way it flutters against your skin? Like a kiss of an angel? Your poem is well-written, your great word choice description takes the reader back to when they felt snowflakes on their skin. Very nicely done.

Snowfalls are beautiful and under certain conditions (a good temperature) walking during the downfall is a very calming and exhilarating experience. So your succinct message and beautiful art have the same calming effect. Thank you for the display it is beautiful.

Your two-line poem is really lovely, conveying a message about the power of nature to affect our moods. I gave a 4 because your poem lacks the internal rhyme required for the essence poem.
