I've read various accounts from historians that the original Thanksgiving meal, if there ever really was one as we perceive it, actually consisted of fish and veggies, as this poet through the voice of his turkey suggests. I'm not sure it matters what we eat, but whatever it is, we should be thankful for it! Good message!
