Yes, I can remember a very cute, adorable pup, too young to be away from his mum, straying in the local park, it was hot, no owner around, we were very sure he was dumped. He promptly chewed up an adopted daughter's engagement shoes, dug up plants in the yard, left his coat everywhere, but we adored him. And he was with us for 16 delightful years, he is so missed. I understand, thank you Gretchen for this splendid post. Blessings, Roy

Very clever writing. Poor Jiggies and I do hope your beagle gets over its non-amusement. lol Sometimes introducing a younger dog gives an older one a new lease of life.

-The photo and the
story are adorable, GW.
-I like how you take your
dog's viewpoint, and I
am sure you are expressing
its thoughts very well:)
-You will have to share a
photo and story or poem
about the puppy!
-This is very well written
with good description and
attitude on Jiggie's part,
but he does state his case well.
-I think the P in P.S stands
for priceless-great ending.
-Thanks for sharing.

A very well-written letter from the point of view of a pet dog that suddenly have a new puppy after nine years and the older dog is not very happy with the new comer at this stage.

We have a new puppy as well, but Freddie and Sadie seem to like him a lot. The fact is we picked him out of the eleven puppies my Grandsons dog had in September. Perhaps our older dogs are just pleased with the fact we are down to one. Well done Gretchen. This is precious.Nancy:)

Oh my!! How I completely understand. I have a problem that I cannot turn down puppies. They are so stinking cute, but they are a pain in the you know where. I do, however, out grow it. You post is cute and fun to read. Give the new puppy a hug for me and Jiggies a pet on the head. He will have to be patient. LOL

What a cute story. This one made me smile and I read it with interest through to the end. The picture is lovely as well. If only dogs could talk. Keep writing.

What a cute story! I love the way you told it from the POV of the dog, that you used the metaphor of "brother" for the puppy. Pets can be quite possessive, they don't like to share. Cats especially.--Darlene

Thank you. I felt the need to express what Jiggies was thinking. It was very apparent in the stink eye I have been receiving for three days now.
