All grandparents can relate to your great poem about the wonderful feeling our grandchildren give us. But it's not a temporary thing like a crush - it's forever! And when a second grandchild was born, I wondered could I love this one as much? - and the answer is yes!

You are right. When I had my first baby I loved him so much that I was afraid I wouldn?t love the second one as much. She was born 17 months later and I loved her every bit as much as the first one. Silly fears we have. Thank you.

Thank you so much, They are a three hour plane ride away and I miss him so much I can?t stand it sometimes. Thank God for FaceTime and Skype.

I can tell you are very smitten with junior and it's not hard to become infatuated with these tiny creatures.
I must say I have had two cases of instantaneous unconditional love and that was as I witnessed / experienced the birth of both my children.
Whilst I have had time to wipe the smile off my face as they are now 13 and 10 respectively, they STILL make me absolutely beam at certain times of the day.
You obviously have a special bond and it is evident in your fantastic poem. Well written.

Yes, it is something only a grandmother can really understand. Your poem explains an overwhelming love in sweet phrases and allows the reader to picture your joy. I think it is a really neat poem, I am a grandmother and know the feeling well. All the best, Laura.

There is nothing like that feeling, is there? They live a plane ride away so it?s very hard for me. They were just here for five days. The day after they got home I called my daughter and said bring my baby back. She just laughed.
