Excellent. One of the few in the contest that actually has something to do with romance. Perfect few words to express passion with the perfect picture to accompany it. I'm sure this will be a top contender. Fantastic work, author. Best of luck in the booth. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Thank you, Mr. Skulls! Killer review. I appreciate these great comments and all those stars. I agree, this is the perfect picture to go with this. Romance can be anything from a presented rose to your spine turning to jelly under a loved one's touch. Obviously, I choose the latter. LOL Thank you!

Liked your total presentation for your romance entry: color choices, text, and artwork.
Your fruit flavors can almost be tasted/sensed.
Thanks for all.

Comment from Kristin Porter
Cleverly written. I find the want and need in this piece. She's drawing him near with sweet scents, swirling around her, tantalizing him, like a woman knows to do.
Good luck in the contest!

One can easily see how the Speaker here is easily aroused by red lipstick and a fruity perfume. I like your use of alliteration in line two. Excellent choice of photo, too. Rod

What a well done 5-7-5 poem. From the title, to the photo, to your powerful word selection, this is perfection. To me, it's what these short poems are all about. Your use of the word nectars, and your choice of fruits is intelligent writing. Surely you have won this contest.

Oh, Debbie, this is such a beautiful review and I can't thank you enough. Everybody has their own version of romance but to get the job done with only 17 syllables is tricky at best. Your lovely comments let me know I came close. Thank you!!
Comment from Susan X Smith
This short poem certainly fits the category, and it should be a fruitful contest entry. I like the use of cherry, peach and nectars, which adds interest. Good job.

A very well-written 5-7-5 romance poem connecting a sweet love with senses of smell of the sweet scent of peach perfume and taste of sweet cherry's on her lips, the nectar of passion.
