This is a charming poem with a great rhyme scheme. I like the allusion to Katherine Hepburn. My favorite stanza was actually the fourth one although it was all good.

Hi Yvette. Good take on this image for the Picture This post. Couples do seem to get in sync after years of being together. If they can't do that, I guess they're miserable or split up. I like the romantic relationship these two have with each other. Marilyn

There is just something about lasting forever what makes reading so appealing. People give up on marriages so quickly. I'm sure these people that have been together 50 or 60 years have had their ups and downs but they work at it and stick it out and then they make it. I really felt that with your poem.

You took it up, ran with it and offered up a quality glimpse at the loving complexities of a strong, loving and at times stormy marriage : )) But they wouldn't have it any other way, ha ha

My apologies for running behind this week -- one of our science teachers had to take a leave of absence to care for her mom and I crazily volunteered to review/mark-up the physics & chemistry science project papers for her and meet with students as necessary....what was I thinking??! lol! I am now fully reminded why I ONLY teach mathematics -- I hardly have to think with pure numbers!! :) :)
