This beautifully nostalgic, delightful poem really resonates with me. How well I remember those days when parents didn't have to stick to us like Velcro! You have mixed tenses: sat, past; play, present.

Well done, an excellent entry in this childhood contest. A lot of these items weren't around in my childhood years, but were in my children's years. Beautifully written in triplets and great rhyming in aba, articulate and well expressed, a vivid imagery post, well done, good luck, blessings Roy

This poem, Games We Played, presented in six ABA rhymed tercets, relive the joyous youth we had while never suspecting it would pass by and be so far away. But those times were splendid, and made us.
