This is a fantastic salute to the service men and women then and now. I am a Vietnam vet and I appreciate your words. Many Americans called Korea and Vietnam senseless wars. All we knew, we were sent there to fight and that is what we did. Many were crippled and died in the doing.
you didn't hear much griping or complaining from the ones doing the fighting. I thank and salute you.
Hoooraah. I don't know how to spell it, but you know what it means.

You did a great job starting with the headstones and the sovereignty of God Who knows each one of these who gave their all. Then you list all the other wars and end with the reminder to pray for our current military men and women around the world.

As I've probably already told you my husband did 23 years in the military and our oldest son had his 23rd year in July, but is still in. He said he's staying until they kick his butt out. LOL Thank you for writing and sharing this poem with us. I fear our veterans are forgotten.

Hi Bill, this is a great tribute you've written to everybody who have fought for our freedom an democratic right. All wars are terrible, but some of our latter wars seem to be futile at the expense of so many lives. I liked your poem a lot. Warm regards. Ulla xx
