Dementia, Altzheimer's disease, senility, confusion, or mere memory loss, which of these, if any will we face? What will the convolutions in our grey matter bring forth as we turn grey? How glorious if it is all glorious.

I hope we think so. But I believe most run thru reality now and again. And...they look sad, soo sad, almost to the nth degree of grief. Doug

This poem uses short lines and question to enhance the emotion in the story of a loved one falling into old age and maybe Altzheimer's or some similar disease.

Beautifully written poem on the heartbreaking subject of dementia. I like how you used the play on words using Glori and glory. Great job! I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Glory is where you find it. Your mum's light was nicer than the fire my dad saw. Even when I stood in the place where he said it was he still saw it, though he also admitted I couldn't be standing in it... Lovely piece about Glori.

A very well-written free verse poem about the glory of dementia is to be in your own world away from the chaotic world around seeing the beauty in everything others cannot see.

My grandmother passed away when I was 12 years old from complications due to Alzheimer's disease. It is a tragic disease to succumb to because memories are erased and your loved one fades away from you.

Yes, I think it is a highly unfair disease. Thank you.

It sounds like dementia includes seeing things other people do not fathom, even if they are looking at the selfsame thing. It certainly reveals a human frailty in this poem.

A very sad poem but very well written. Telling us your mother's
name makes me understand the title. Very important.
Dementia is very hard on the whole family.

My grandmother suffered from dementia and is was a sad, slow decline to watch (helplessly). She regressed to calling my mother her husband and was always asking where my mom's brother was, wasn't it time for him to come inside thinking of him again as a little boy. She developed a bit if a mean streak too which was a little difficult to deal with. Heartbreaking for sure :( xoxo
