We hope our deeds bring satisfaction to us and the others around us. Hoping to understand our minds and how work for the future with what we learned in the past.

Interesting word play creates a great twisting and turning effect. You have us wondering whether this is in your head or out in reality, here, there or nowhere at all. A dream? That is the magic of language and its ability to take you on these journies. estory

I love your analysis of this poem. Your 'take' on it, is unusual but, very inviting to think of. I, too, believe in the magic of language.
Thank you for your interesting review and excellent rating.

A interesting poem. I like the last verse where you cleverly say life is like a theater production. The image worked well with this piece. The rhyme and rhythm were perfect. Thank you for sharing this piece with us. Blessings. ~Brenda

Hello Jesse, this is a lovely, well written thoughtful poem. Mixed rhyme form that works well. I like your final stanza, it reminds me of Shakespeare's 'Al the worlds a stage, an all the men and women merely players' -

Life's a theater production
each of us members of the cast.
If everything goes as it should
after the final curtain falls
will we feel satisfied at last?....... Lovely stanza - regards Dorothy

During a lifetime there can be many moments of satisfaction. Yet we need to know that it is our own goals that may keep us from that. When we crave something that is outside of our realm we are conceding defeat. Your poem indicates well the ups and downs and ins and outs of our searches and your art is beautiful. However, where we look for satisfaction is key to whether we attain the same. Thanks for sharing your feelings.

You deliver a well penned and heartfelt piece. I guess it all depends on how we well we acted our part and serviced our assigned mission as to the measure of our satisfaction in the reward to follow. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

A very well-written poem about something that brings satisfaction and calmness to our minds but we search in vain while we dwell on earth. True satisfaction will only be found in heaven.

I really like the first two 4 lines of cadence, the last one is a bit wordy to me. Think about something like...
Life is a theater
and we are the cast
If it goes as it should
Are we satisfied at last?

I have had reviewers make similar suggestions and it made a difference after I went back...

I really like it either way..

This is very thought provoking and to me alludes to Shakespeare's line "All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players" Your line "Trying my best to decipher what's real" seems to play into this drama of life.

Your poem is very touching. It's how we feel that's important. You have touched many thoughts with your poem.

I'm looking outside today and see snow on the ground. Not sure if I'll drive on the roads today, but I'll definitely do some things that are worthy of this day.

Thank you, Rosemary, for letting me know what moved you to think in this poem.
Where I live it has been foggy all day. A perfect day for a nature walk, which I just returned from. To me, that is worthy of my day.
Thank you for your insightful review, and excellent rating.
