What a great metaphorical poem this really is, Jess.
In it you have covered many of the possibles for a life together with love everlasting. Life is so unpredictable and this is covered well also in my estimation. Good job, my friend. :) Bob

I enjoyed reading this poem with its thought-provoking ideas. I especially admired the last stanza, with the surprising comparison of life to a theatre production, with all of us being members of the cast. Interesting concept.

Hi Jesse,
this has a feel of depression about it. Sometimes our lives seem like we are locked into a play that keeps repeating itself, hoping when the final curtain falls that it will all end good.
I like the flow of this and the analogy that you use.
Well done.

-Very nice image, Jesse.
-A well written poem
with effective rhyme
and imagery.
-The first line is very
good with the alliteration
and the image "splash through my mind."
-You raise good questions
in verse two.
-Excellent concluding verse
with all of the references to
the theater and a very
good question at the end that
you leave to us to decide.
-Very well done!

Yes, I did. And, thank you very much. I worked hard on this one. I had the main ideas and words in place, but it took a lot of tinkering to get it where I wanted it. I feel proud that it is going over so well.
Thank you for letting me share.
Take care, Jesse

Your posted poem is a perfect accompaniment to that dramatic photograph. Life is filled with hard to answer questions. It is important to appreciate the good things coming our way in order to successfully help balance the negative things. I enjoyed reading your posting very much.

If we're bound for heaven when we're done here - then for sure we shall be satisfied. We often experience the satisfaction here in a minor degree - when God appears to us - speaks to our heart.

Comment from Robert Zimmerman
Hello Jesse. I see the premise poem centers around search for what is satisfying in this life and what would make it complete. You even discuss the means by which you would make a determination about that. The last stanza girls a conclusion but it is still a questioned conclusion. Very interesting take on how to evaluate a life. Robert

Life's a theater production
each of us members of the cast.
This is a brilliant statement and oh so very true. We all play our part and hope we can get to the final curtain and find our satisfaction.
Well done Jesse
Blessings

Comment from ExperiencingLiphe
I love the ending because it really does make us think. What will make us feel satisfied in the end? The best part is that we're all different so there is no one right answer. Great job
