Hi Misty, yes, Jeremy might just be the killer. but how are they to prove it? I think the dialogue is great, but I would have loved to seen some showing in between. Of feelings and emotions, that is. All best. Ulla:)))

Hello Mistydawn. You have moved this chapter to more intrigue and confrontation. You have some long periods of dialogue and maybe you could add a little descriptive narrative in the dialogue to give the reader more insight into the details. Robert

It's funny how you led the reader to think they got away with it again. But no. The hammer seems to be coming down on Jeremy. He is the main character so the reader can only hope it is called self-defense. Unfortunately, for Jeremy and Barry, we live in a 1984 state of existence. Or a great movie called Enemy of the State. There are cameras EVERYWHERE.

Thank you so much for reading my chapter, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Jeremy is in a heck of a mess, and unfortunately for him, it's only going to get worse. I just hope Barry does the right thing.

Good chapter. Wonder if police are going to figure out that Jeremy and Barry are related? Hmmm, right now it's making it look like Jeremy did the killing. Hope that Jeremy doesn't get blamed for it.

Thank you so much for your kind review. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Joe is trying to pin it on Jeremy with his and Paul's past relationship and all. Hopefully, the police will figure it out, or Barry will come forward.
I hope you're doing well, today. It's the same here, well we're getting a heatwave a whopping 62. I'll take that over 30 any day. I have an office roomie. A baby field mouse. Told my cats they're fired. Callie looked at me and yawned.

That's funny about Callie. Our Callie is quite the cat that will get water bugs and anything else. lol

The police in time to see poor old Jeremy being beaten up again by Jeff, Tony, and gang, and fortunately for Barry and Jeremy the cops turn, but there's a lot of indiscrepencies in the situation, will joe and company figure it all out, Jeremy deserves a break, and I guess Barry means well...I think, well done, good story, blessings, Roy

Thank you so much for reading my chapter. Yeah, old Barry has good intentions, helping his kid take care of his rivals. It just hasn't turned out as well as he'd hoped. You're right, poor Jeremy seems to get the raw end of the deal.
Thank you again for your continuous help, support and friendship. It always means so much to me, take care.

A pleasure

The frame up isn't going so good. They usually don't. There are too many variables. I think Barry will confess to save Jeremy. He should. He's Paul's real killer.

Thank you for your kind review. You're right, the frame job is being questioned. I hope Barry does the right thing too. We'll see.

You should call him Teflon Jeremy. Just when you think his goose is cooked, he slips away. Lots of action in this chapter. No time for drinking coffee and chit chat.

Again a new climax, new taletelling of crime detection on shoulder, guesswork continues, truth reveals, false blame on suspect, who are being questioned, new climax, curious ending; well said, well done.

They may be right. Jeremy might be our killer.
Uh, oh. Jeremy just can't get a break. I can say he was with me the whole time. Will that help? I'll even put my fingerprints all over him. :)

Thank you so much for your review and for volunteering to help poor Jeremy. He needs all the alibi's he can get. I'm hoping if it gets to that point Barry will fess up but as it stands, Barry thinks he's outsmarted the law. That he and Jeremy will be freed.
Thank you again for all your help, support and friendship it always means a lot to me, take care.
