I wish I had a 6 for this one. Your vivid description of her injury pulled me into this horrific and well written entry into this horror writing contest. I could feel the pain as though it were me. Great work with this and I sincerely wish you all the bes in this contest.

Good luck in the contest Kace. As a nurse myself, I can not begin the imagine what your emotions were. The pain, the anguish, the horror of the news which I am sure was daily. I agree with your narrative notes-not bad for your age. Well done.

Wow, Aussie! This is quite a horror tale. I kept scrolling back to the category trying to make this story fiction. I am so sorry that this happened to you. You tell the story so graphically. I was hanging on to every word. There are lots of things that caught my attention. One is that you felt no pain at the accident. The pain started with all the operations. Seems like doctors put you through so much unnecessary pain. I'm sure it's hard for doctors to know when to give up on a leg.
I'm glad the "save the leg" part of your life is over, but you say that you only walk a little. That is good, but sounds like you are wheel chair bound most of the time. I sure admire your spunk.
Thank you for sharing your story. This horror tale deserves a six star rating because it is exceptional. I'm fresh out though.

A very well-written horror story about the accident and the amputation of your leg is a horrific experience in itself. When the hospital and its staff make the experience more horrific it is traumatic.
