I like the format of this short story. I grew up with pen pals. My adult children keep telling me not to write long letters on text. Text is conversational.
The letters do make the the main character feel seen by whoever is writing to her. We glow, when love comes. Love does not always come in a way that we would expect. If there is love, it will unfold itself much like the flower that blooms in the spring.
It reminds me of the song: "The Rose"

Another appealing love letter. This is growing warmer by the day. I feel sorry for the heroine as she is going blindly into loving an image of someone she has in her mind in contrast to the man who obviously sees her every day. Isn't this some kind of torment?

So, Im leaking out on this one. Yes, I've had a lifetime of experience writing loveletters to Jackson and he has to me. I have a trunk full from our courtship and marriage. We have a deep bond that transcends looks, although he still thinks I'm beautiful, I think it must be coming from the inside. A heart of love makes a person attractive, as Kristin mentions in her letter. It makes my day to move your heart, dear poet. Thank you for the compliments and generous review.
