I thought we would see a fight LOL. I see nothing wrong with this write. It does make me wonder when things will cool down between these two. I will be off site for awhile. I will catch up on your profile. Lets solve this murder.

I don't want you getting shot too.

I think you need a comma. I don't want you getting shot, too.

After all the action of the previous chapter, this was a catch your breath and have a cup of coffee chapter.

Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

There is a report that somebody manhandled an Austen Bryant, says Bill, Mac's Godfather, but Logan explains he was the one that was manhandled. Things are hotting up, with Mac saying she has to work to pay the bills, a bit awkward with her life under threat. Well done, blessings, Roy
Typo : manhand(ling) an Austen Bryant. Manhandled?

Hi Barbara, This is a great chapter and the conflict really comes through. He wants to protect her, and she can't really afford not to work. What to do? Just one small thing:
"I guess I need to wait breakfast until after we finish our runs." I guess I need having to wait for breakfast ...
Great story. Can't wait to reading on. Ulla xx
