Rod,
Oh, wow. Wish I'd caught this in the booth. *smile* This is so beautiful and unique and wispy... Like a late autumn afternoon. One of my favorite things in life is when you're standing in the yard on a cool afternoon and the leaves start to fall around you. It's magical!
I can see why this won! Congrats~!

I enjoyed reading your Etheree poem contest entry. Having just returned from New Hampshire over Columbus Day weekend, your poem visually, mentally and emotionally brought back the beauty of God's creation I experienced while in North Woodstock.
Thank you so much for sharing! Best of luck in the contest!

Hi Rod. Congratulations on winning the contest with this wonderful Etheree. It's descriptive and nicely illustrated. I liked especially the fluttering of the falling leaves akin to the flight of a monarch butterfly. Marilyn

Congratulations on your win and the others you received. I can just see leaves slowing falling to the ground.
You have the right count for each line.

I like the comparison of leaf and monarch butterfly in your poem, Rod; the swooping and dipping describes it well. Lovely introduction of autumn colours, too. Good win.

Hello Rod. Your poem is an excellent description of a leaf fluttering through the air I'm headed for the ground to become part of the environment making way for next year's growth.

I am delighted you enjoyed the pattern of my Etheree, Bichon. It's much like that of the Nonet. And I'm glad you liked my comparison of the leaf to a butterfly. Many thanks for sharing. Rod

Enjoyed the similes and metaphors in this etheree poem. I liked "like a startled monarch butterfly" and the "canary yellow sky." Best wishes in the contest!
