Well, you may not be perfect, but you are candid about your flaw. This trait--interrupting others--is common among those who enjoy talking and have much to say. Being patient (I.e.--waiting for an opening in a conversation) is not always easy.

In the south, we (females) all talked at the same time. as the saying goes, everybody did it. :)
but where I live now - not a good idea.
    thanks for your kind comment!!

Let me interrupt. :) :) SMILES :) :)
This is one of those poems that felt like prose until I reached the end . . . but it's told well, with language that flows, and makes an important point.

thank you. did you not feel a cadence in each verse? hmmm
the lines ARE long, but when I read them out loud, they had a rhythm (at least, to me). however, thank you for your nice comments.

so true. I can recall, just recently, a person who was talking couldn't remember the word that was making her ponder, so I said the word for her. Not an okay idea when that happens.

are you serious? you can supply my lost words anytime!!! and I'd be most appreciative. In fact I have a friend who does just that. I had a trophy made for her! thanks so much for reading.

I was referring to a friend that I knew. When she had to double think, I filled in the word when she spoke. Felt bad that I interrupted her train of thought.

I commend you for being able to look at yourself critically and desire room for improvement. It can be a difficult balance to see ones flaws but not dwell on them. I think that your poem is fun and shows a healthy sense of humor towards something that many of us struggle with.

    Bless you and many thanks!
I may not dwell on them, but I fear I still do it, but not as much as I used to. horrible habit.

I love this piece but please stop writing about me, LOL. Kidding aside, very well written. The flow is smooth. No doubt about the message. Thanks for the delightful read.

LOL!! Yeah, I would think many of us are guilty of that at one time or another! ;) :) A well-written and very engaging offering for the contest that carries a comfortable air of 'relateability' throughout the lines from start to finish... thanx for sharing and best of luck at the polls! ;)
