I like the wisdom here! There's plenty in life to drag us down--focus on the day-to-day, and the rest will be taken care of. Well constructed with solid rhythm and rhyme. A pleasure to read. Good job!

I like it and agree there is enough evil in one day without worrying about the future. I like a saying don't trouble, trouble until trouble troubles you.
Good work. All the best, Laura

This a wonderful poem, beautifully articulating a very important message. Unfortunately, I think that knowing not to focus on fear is not always enough to overcome it. Thank you for sharing.

I agree. We can't live in fear. We have little control over the future. Most of what we worry about never happens. Things have a way of working out like they're supposed to.

I loved this piece. Fear can be a disability, it prevents you from moving to a positive purpose. It can be crippling. You ended this piece with just the right tone.
"Just live your life from day to day
and many fears may fade away."
Thank you so much for sharing.

-I appreciate your note, jaybird.
-A well written poem about fear.
-I like this line:
"We fear the storms of nature's wrath"
-You effectively go from
fear to "lifes precious gift"
and a very good concluding couplet
with very good advice.
-Thanks for sharing.

The last verse is a good message and the poem makes one think. We fear so much and we never take time to think, the thought of fear is greater than fear itself. Thank you for sharing.

Words of wisdom here - to be crippled by fear is no way to live life. Even if we are somewhat disabled at this point in a physical way, we can still glean some enjoyment. It's what we choose to focus on that will determine our quality of life. Thank you for sharing your insights.

Hello Jay,
I really enjoyed reading your poem, it's full of great advice. As we age fear becomes a big part of our everyday life. As you said, worrying about what will happen if we become sick or disabled is a big burden.
Take care, my friend...Bill
