Hi Lisa may. This is a great fifty words flash about the pesky kangaroo. I loved it. And then your notes put it all into perspective. I've been to Australia and seen them jumping across the highway. All best. Ulla:)))

Thanks for your review. Roos jumping across the highway can be very dangerous with many road accidents. (Especially on my motorbike - I had to be very aware.)

Like your witty title, the write and your author notes. He didn't ask you to sing waltzing Mathilda did he? But I bet he made you watch those old Hopalong Cassidy movies.

Keep going LisaMay. You'll find your dream lover one of these days.

Blessings Julia

He was more like Jumpin' Jack Flash.
I found my dream lover and have written about it as the end story. I was expecting that to happen at story 30, but other reviewers have requested 50 stories. That will be an endurance run on my part, but why not? I am enjoying writing them and there are plenty of animals to learn about.

This is a well written amusing flash of your disastrous kangaroo relationship. You're lucky not to get mixed up with him, as in your author's note females are permanently pregnant. Egad! I guess the roos are fond of bed hopping. Marilyn

Thanks for reviewing, Marilyn. I am finding out all sorts of things about animals while writing this series. Check out this article about a kangaroo (it gives paws for thought):

A great read first thing in the morning. I like the last line especially. You seem to have a talent for picking the funniest line as the conclusion. He probably got his kicks on the side as well. Nice section on the characteristics of the kangaroo, too.

That kangaroo liked a jump first thing in the morning.
    Thanks for your terrific review.

Another good one - I applaud your ability to keep finding the animals to "mock" and emulate. This one didn't seem too close to you - but then how close can you get to a kangeroo - you might also say "he hopped into my life and as quickly hopped right out."

Thanks for your wonderful review, Gail. I thought I was going to wrap up the series at story 30, but other reviewers want me to keep going to 50. What a challenge! But I think I can do it - there are plenty more animals left.

I love kangaroos. Wallabyes too. They're just so cleverly made. And that jumping... wow! What a sight. I'll bet he jumped right into your heart. How could you let that wild redhead get away? :)

He was as tall as me too. Most of the other 'boyfriends' have been a lot smaller than me.
    Thanks for reviewing.

Great job on this one Lisa... I hope you do not ..rue.. the day that you break off this relationship since this one seems to be a boxer... haha. Another well written verse for your Boyfriend Series!

Luckily he only boxes with his mates - he may be a bit rough 'n tough but he was always gentle with me. It is sometimes the one you'd least expect of domestic violence who thumps his woman.

This is another favourite write of yours Lisa, a clever play on words and inventive, what was God thinking when he created a Kangaroo? I thoroughly enjoyed your short and sweet words, love Dolly x

I agree - kangaroos look like a Friday aftenoon job when God was starting to have to use leftovers.
    Thanks for your wonderful rating.

It's probably just as well that he hopped to it and left when he did. You would need a pogo stick to keep up with him. And what about the holidays coming up? Could you imagine going home with him to his Mom's house for the holidays? I doubt her pouch would hold very many. Ummm question, I wonder how many rooms and baths are in her pouch house anyway. And where in tarnation would you put the Christmas tree??? Yeh, he's better off gone!
LOL Have a great day!

I think God must have inserted pogo sticks in kangaroos when he made them then somebody copied the idea.
    Thanks for your fun review.

I was rooting for the roo too! Our 18 acres is full of roos as we don't do anything else with the land. They are mostly fenced out of all our neighbour's paddocks.

Rooting for the roo has all sorts of connotations in Australia!
I bet those roos just adore your place - able to use the land as if it's their own. 18 acres of roo sanctuary.
