What a wonderful offering for the Love Poem Contest -- just precious and perfect for those children who have special animals or blankets (or both!) that give them that sense of being loved!! ;) :) Thanx for sharing and best of luck in the contest! ;) Yvette

Hi Sasha, I'm a bit shell-shocked at the moment, had the funeral last Wednesday. I believe in reincarnation. Thanks for reading my friend. Love, Kace.

Good luck in the contest Kace. This was very good. I do so enjoy the concept of the Burden Bear, I have heard of them being called various things over the years. Easy to read and a nice rhyme pattern.

You are so welcome Kace, I do so hate to be nosey but was this the reason for the Burden Bear poem? If so please take care of yourself.

If you had read my author's notes, my partner died on 1/10. I wanted to share a poem for others that are hurting. Love, Kace XX

I am sure your Burden Bear will be of great comfort during those quiet moments of reflection. Hug it tight and take one day at a time. ~DDxx

Hi Dorothy, I'm a little lonely, not sad because the burden and suffering has gone. The Lord has her in His keeping now. Much love, Kace.

Hi Kace, I feel sorry for you that your loss has made you so lonely. It is only natural when you have had someone with you for 30 years. You need to look to outside interests - not easy, but worth a try. Do you have family near? God Bless you - love Dorothy x

Hello Dorothy, It's only early days, I have no family my friend. My toby-dog tries his best to keep me up and going. I'm not depressed because my friend was suffering terribly and she was my carer. In the last five years, the roles reversed and I (in my electric wheelchair) was caring for her. She had given up on all the drugs etc. Rheumatoid arthritis is an insidious disease my friend. If I could, I would live in UK that is where my heart is. Love, Kace.

I am so sorry to hear about the recent loss of your loved one, Kace. I Wish I had a six for this poem of comfort written straight from your heart. The little bear is precious and just begs to be cuddled. The roads of life are full of some pretty big pits. It helps to remember that we are not encountering them alone because the Lord is right there along with us. I'm thinking about that wonderful poem FOOTPRINTS and how we are carried through the dark times. Now you've given others an additional beautiful image to cherish--that of also holding onto a sweet burden bear as tears are falling. xoxo Janet

FOOTPRINTS inspired me many years ago and remains in my heart. We are all here to learn, her suffering was dreadful and pulling me down. Now she is with the Lord, lonely me, I will bounce back! Much love, Kace.
