This is a timely rally cry. It just seems so easy to slander and mock people with a few taps of the keyboard. Imagine sending uplifting and positive messages instead.
I pray for the day when people realize that life is too short and magnificient to waste on anything that does not lift us all. Bravo, judester

Hello Judester. This is a pleasant surprise to find an excellent review of my previous post. I like your perspective on this. Calling it a "timely rally cry" moves me, and tells me, that we are on the same or similar, wavelength. Life is too short to waste on negativity, I agree. Thank you for this wonderful review and excellent rating.
Take care, Jesse

Amen, James. Unfortunately, people are quick to react, instead of searching for understanding by listening. So much could be accomplished if they did.
However, thank God, there are some decent human beings who are willing to assist in times of turmoil. It those people, through the grace of God, who gives us hope.
Your poem portrays that message. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

What a nice surprise to find a wonderful review for a previous poem. Thank you for your insights and positive reflections. I, too, am thankful for those who assist others in times of turmoil. Keeping hope alive, while others are panicking, is the only way we'll survive. I appreciate your kind words. They mean a lot to me.
Have a nice Sunday.
Take care, Jesse

Amen brother.
Hi Jesse.
This is Doug. (PITA?) (pain in the ass)
Ooooh, now you remember. LOL
Couldn't agree more with your
sentiments in this poem.
Kind of like the rally cry.
Just a simple (sort of and not),
common place idea for the
common place man to institute.
Which is everyone, as you know.
Bang on, bro.
I'm here.

Hey Doug. Of course, I remember you. I am touched that you decided to review my work, and to give me an exceptional rating, no less! I like your idea of it as a rallying cry. I just wrote back to you on your piece, using Gestalt. I'm all for it, my friend. Thank you for a great review and a sixth star. I hope you are enjoying the weekend.
Take care, Jesse

Jesse, This is a very well written poem that is so full of the truth my friend. Less wars among each other would happen if we would learn to talk and then listen as you have written. Thanks for sharing my friend. Blessings, Teri

Thank you, Teri, for your insightful review. I love your phrase, "Less wars among each other". It is sad, that we are at war with each other. It is bad enough, that there is so much destruction from war, elsewhere. We need to share, listen, and be ready to compromise. I'll step off my soapbox to tell you thanks for your kind words. Your encouragement means a lot.
Take care, Jesse

I really like this one. It is very insightful. How people interact makes such a difference in whether the world gets better or worse. We could use to all work together as the world seems to be quite a mess. Nice write, my friend~Debbie

Hello Jesse,
You've written an excellent series of three line stanzas
in your poem about listening and caring.
Very good progression in the images of difficulties
and their impact upon action.
The question may be whether people want to listen
or merely to hear themselves.
Excellent choice of art work with the many waters
that ultimately fall into the same pools.
Well done

Hello Robert. Thank you for your excellent review. I respect your view on my work highly. Thank you for noticing the three-line stanzas and their progression... You make a very good point about people often wanting to hear themselves talk instead of listening to others. I appreciate you noticing the artwork with the waterways ending up in the same pool. I am glad you liked it. Thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot to me. Have a nice evening.
Take care, Jesse

I think your last stanza says it all.
They can pull together as a team
when people mean what they say
and say what they mean
Sadly, this not always the case.
Well written with an excellent message.

Thank you, Janet, for choosing the part of the piece which spoke to you the most. It is sad that people deceive one another at times. Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate the excellent rating. Have a nice day.

In my opinion, my rating speaks volumes. This is, again, in my opinion, an "Exceptional" write, by an extraordinary, relevant and psychologically attuned writer - this reflects the human condition at its worst and best, in well constructed and authentic realism. Yes, let us listen, the first lesson taught in "Sales"...

Thank you very much for this volume speaking exceptional rating and review. Thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot to me. You make an interesting comment about the first lesson in "Sales" being to listen. Listening is a good way to start. Thank you.

You are very welcome, Jesse, my pleasure I assure you. Interestingly, I achieved the highest level in "Sales" during my Sales and Sales Management/Training career, considered an "expert" in the field. Many of my Sales techniques are in practice today, appearing in many Sales Manuals, continuing to afford success in the industry, especially the non profit arenas, specifically, Chambers of Commerce and Better Business Bureaus. My first lesson to every sales staff member, was "listen," otherwise you won't "hear" the buying signals...Eve

I can certainly appreciate the positive social message you have poetically presented. I fear that times are now the hardest and I am listening.
You have well penned a worthy message.

A man of peace and a much needed word. Our nation is thirsty for an honest conversation. We certainly need to come in peace and lay aside the attacking tongues. I find I can converse best with my family and closest friends. I know they listen and I listen to them. Beautifully designed and formatted, Jesse.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally :)

Thank you, Sally, for your wonderful 'take' on my poem. I like the words and phrases you use to describe how it is, and what we need to do to make it better. I agree our nation is "thirsty" for an honest conversation. I love being called "A man of peace". I am honored by your assessment. Thank you for your kind words.
