Awww, I love the mental image of little fawn and doe munching on the dewy clover. You presented it very well and drew wonderful mental images for your reader. Well done, J.

Thank you, I feel I finally have delivered a solid haiku..

Lovely. I read this as I sat on the front porch, looking out over the 32-acre park in the early dawn. You catapulted me deep into the silence, the soft scent of the damp clover, and the sparkle as the sun reaches out to touch the leaves. Thank you. - Wendy

Wendy, I am pleased that you had a "present moment" with nature and my poem, may your day continue to unfold amazing discoveries.

So much imagery enters the reader's mind from so few and well-done poetic words! The photograph perfect for the theme. I really loved the sunbeams dancing on dewdrops, then came the beauty of the doe and fawn, followed by the peaceful consumption of dark-green clover....

Hi JLR. Its a lovely 5-7-5 poem which has a lovely imagery. The short forms are very difficult to write but I think you've done a great job. Good luck in the contest. Ulla:))

A lovely poem with an equally lovely picture to compliment your work.
One can almost feel the mist on the clover and breath in the early morning air.
Well done.
Blessings

In my opinion, a charming write, beautifully delivered in both lyrical verse and lovely image - fully compliant with the prompt, and best wishes in the contest

Hi Jim. I think you have a sure winner here, my friend. Lots of imagination went into the lines of this 5-7-5. I especially like the clever satori. Good luck to you in the contest, my friend. : ) Bob

That's lovely. It's easy to imagine the deer that will be enjoying those fresh greens. In the title, you might want to capitalize green and clover. Important words normally have capitals in titles. Good luck in the contest.

Haiku is a challenge, at least I find it so. This is a lovely example of getting it right, very descriptive and great imagery. Hope you do well in the contest.

Hello JRL,
You've written and excellent 5-7-5 poem for the contest
with wonderful description and imagery.
If those are four-leaf clover, you won't need any more luck,
but my best wishes to you.
Great picture to match.
Robert
