That's sweet. Seems I came in a little late. I can easily imagine it, because I once had a marriage proposal from a resident of one of the seniors' homes where I worked.

Seems like they are meant for each other with both writing sweet nonets to each other! I found it funny that he first mentions how she shows mercy and then says later, "have you no mercy?" colloquially. It shows how completely natural and unrehearsed his writing is.

I'm glad you are staying with this love story in two parts. It takes place in a Baptist hospital. Love Letter on a Clipboard was the first article, a man professing his love for a nurse named Kristin Spencer's. He, the secret admirer, leaves her love letters on her clipboard. She writes back to him and leaves loves letters to him addressed in the companion article, "To My Secret Admirer." She leaves them on the clipboard as well, since she doesn't know his identity yet. They have a date for Christmas Eve Eve and will be the ending of my stories. It will blow your doors off, so stay tuned, Mr. Collder. I think you'll love it.

Oh, yeah, now I know this is certainly a fictional interaction!! I cannot imagine a guy (at least the scientists/computer geeks/military men I've interacted with) EVER writing a nonet... especially not one with those phrasings...LOL!! ;) A lovely installment to their fairy tale interactions, Lady Sal, I look forward to the 'designs' on the blue tie she picks out for him!! ;) Yvette

Look no further than Sally Law. I love this kind of love every day. My husband and I had a long courtship and to our friends amazement, still love and adore each other after all these years. I am a hopeless romantic with a hopeful outlook. I had a long courtship with my husband and we wrote love letters continuously. Still do. I put love notes in his lunch and he leaves me love notes if he leaves the house before I'm up.

Thank you, Jose. I'm sure your wife loves you just as much. Jackson and I had a long courtship and wrote many love letters back and forth. I made him most of his cards by hand and enclosed poems and made up stories. If we want to laugh until we cry, we take them out and read them aloud. To say I've grown in my poetry is an understatement. I'm so honored by your wonderful review and kindest compliments. It means so much.

This is yet another fine addition to a well penned romance saga. The one things that concerned me a little was his reference as the tie to 'remember' her which makes me think either he is dying or this relationship is not meant to last for other reasons. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

This letter is another lovely addition to the romantic dialog by clipboard attachments.
Kristin's secret admirer begins with a New Testament quote about love, which also reveals that, like her, he is a Bible-reading Christian. This is a favorable data-point, as it suggests commonality of faith.
His appreciation of Kristin's sense of humor is also a positive sign.
His awareness of her reading War and Peace to Captain Lewis, along with admission that he utilizes "bribed" assistants, indicates both his proximity and that he is not personally placing his letters on her clipboard. This appears to rule out all of her male associates as her mysterious correspondent.
He praises her trust and openness, then teases her about his possibly being different from the impression he has been making before going back to praising her endearing qualities.
Apparently, he is both amused by her frugality and accepting of her gift of a silk tie in blue as a reminder of the color of her eyes.
Clearly, he liked Kristin's nonet enough to write one of his own in reply.
His reference to his "circumstances" suggests he is a patient, not staff; but, in his first letter, he had mentioned a possible career change, which also could be what he is referring to.
