Good philosophy and also a firm conviction of God's sovereign will in our lives. The hurts, sickness, and pain is there for sure - and we must muster on, keep going.
You describe all this so well, plus your faith in God.

A little bit of rhyming and a good flow makes for a great read. a great 3 stanza's for your view of where you are in your lifetime and the calmness is felt through your words. good to hear.

This has a nice clear message to all that reads it. always look forward and never back. So often we dwell on the past that cannot be changed and forget that the future is ours to make.

    Yes brand that we've all been in the bed in the dark place but I'm a firm believer no matter how many times you fall down in your pile of s*** you just clean yourself off and keep on going!

Very well written chapter. This is the first chapter I have seen but this part was very inspirational. Thank you for sharing such a personal story I am glad I got to see this part.

I like this poem. It feels like a preface to something bigger and better. I think it reflects the reality of life but also hope. Nice half-rhyme with 'time' and 'kind.' Here is the poetic refrain: One step at a time never backwards.
I kind of think I would add a comma after 'time' there. Super share!

Never backwards is the best way to be as it keeps the forward momentum going - no use in looking back since what is done cannot be undone. Well penned and thank you very much for sharing it.
