I suppose you do not know I light a prayer candle each morning for all the prayers I cannot or do not remember to cover. This piece touched me deeply. It is absolute perfection. I am so behind in writing, reading, reviewing. This is a stellar piece of work. I have had bronchitis and have not felt like reading, writing, reviewing. Am only accomplishing the basics, but getting well daily. GREAT JOB! FANTASTIC.

Awe! I?m so happy you connected so deeply with this! I?m sorry you are having health issues. I?m asthmatic and know the struggles well with bronchitis. I am honored you stop to read and I could bring a little joy to your day! I?ll keep a prayer for you. xoxo

What a terrific presentation - I like the image and your words compliment it nicely. I love the words 'spiritual magic.' That's right up my alley because I consider myself a spiritual person, not religious. Hugs, Lou

I do too! Too many "religions" out there who claim to be "It", but there can only be one truth, so I look to the spirit inside for guidance and truth. :) thanks so much for stopping to read this and leaving such an awesome comment for me!

So true, I often find my self staring at a candle flame if I'm near one. A flame is one of the few things that has no shadow, but it causes other things to cast very interesting ones. Well done.

This is a lovely posting in many ways...the picture, beautiful words, and that film recording of original guitar music perfectly fitting the soothing. I could watch candles for hours. Thank you for sharing this, my friend! xoxo

So happy you enjoyed. Fire is such a spellbinding gift from God. It has the potential for providing the severest form of harm or the most pleasurable form of peace and joy! Appreciate your supportive feedback for this! xoxo

These few lines give a strong emotional view of how a candle's flame
effects a person. I like the artwork. Good entry into the fabulous free verse club prompt
Keep writing

What a beautiful "romanticism" of a candle flame -- always so very mesmerizing and your short free verse does a wonderful job of recalling those feelings... ;) :) Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

Hello Diana. I found that the term you used to describe the flame as a drop of fire is very unique and interesting. In your verse candles do generate mysterious shadows because the drop of flame does not sit still. It moves. A nice serene poem. Robert

This concise, lovely poem makes me think of an old song, "One Little Candle." It says, "If everyone lit just one little candle, what a bright world this would be." Good job

You are right, Diana. Flames do seem to hypnotize those that stare at them. One becomes wrapped up in them and forgets their troubles at least for a while. Thoughts of many things return--mostly times when all was good. I enjoyed your free verse on fire. Your words flow smoothly with great imagery. I like the color scheme and the image paired with your well-chosen words. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully with Love, Jan
